After the attack on Iran, the Israeli military declared: “Our planes returned safely home”

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) declared that its strikes against Iranian military targets have ended.

A recent IDF statement said: “The army has completed precision strikes in several areas of Iran.” Now our planes have returned safely home.

Earlier, the Israeli military said it was carrying out “precision strikes against Iranian military targets.” Iranian government media also reported that several explosions were heard in the capital Tehran.

In support of these strikes, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated: “The people of Israel, like any other sovereign nation in the world, have the right and obligation to respond.”
IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari said that after October 7, 2023, “the Iranian regime and its allies in the region continuously attacked Israel.”
Hagari said: “Our defensive and offensive capabilities are fully active. We will do whatever is necessary to protect the State of Israel and the people of Israel.

Israel is believed to have carried out these strikes in response to missile attacks launched by Iran on October 1.
Iranian state media reported that loud explosions were heard in the capital Tehran.

The Reuters news agency, citing Iranian state television, reported that an Iranian intelligence officer said the loud explosion may have been caused by the activation of an Iranian air defense system.

However, it is not yet clear what kind of military targets Israel is pursuing in Iran.

The AFP news agency reported via an Iranian government television channel that both airports in Tehran were operating “normally.”

The White House has stated that it is aware of the Israeli strikes in Iran.

“We understand that Israel is carrying out strikes against military targets in Iran in response to Iran’s ballistic missile attacks on Israel on October 1,” .
