New Zealand were limited to 255 runs and India’s target was to score 359 runs to win.

In the second Test match played between India and New Zealand in Pune, New Zealand’s second innings tally was reduced to 255 runs.

Now India needs to reach the target of 359 runs to win this match. At the beginning of the third day of competition, the New Zealand team was leading with 301 runs.

However, the Indian bowlers showed good bowling and managed to prevent the New Zealand team from taking a big lead.

Earlier on the second day, in reply to New Zealand’s 259 runs, the Indian team posted a limited-overs score of 156 runs. No batsman could score even a half-century in India’s first innings.

However, the performance of the Indian bowlers was definitely better in both the first and second innings of New Zealand. While Washington Sundar took seven wickets in the first innings, in the second innings too Sundar got four, Ashnin got two and Jadeja three.

India is already 1-0 down in the three-Test series. He now needs to score 359 runs to level the series.
