Maharashtra Elections: Congress 48 seat list, tickets for these leaders including Prithviraj Chavan, Nana Patole

Congress has released its first list of candidates for the Maharashtra Assembly elections. The list includes the names of senior leaders like Prithviraj Chavan and Vijay Wadettiwar. Prithviraj Chavan has been given a ticket from Karad South, while leader of the opposition Vijay Wadettiwar has been given a ticket from Brahmapuri. Sakoli has made Maharashtra Congress president Nana Patole his candidate.

The list also includes Nitin Raut from Nagpur North, Amit Deshmukh from Latur City, Dheeraj Deshmukh from Latur Rural, Balasaheb Thorat from Sangamner, Aslam Shaikh from Malad West, Arif Naseem Khan from Chandivali, Jyoti Gaikwad from Dharavi, Bunty Shelke from Nagpur Central and the names of big leaders like Vikas Thackeray from Nagpur West have also been included.

Prafulla Vinodrao Gudadhe has been fielded from Nagpur South West, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and veteran BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis are in the fray from here.

The party gave way to Virendra Jagtap from Dhamangaon Railway HQ. Sunil Deshmukh played Amravati’s chair. Yashomati Thakur got a ticket for Teosa assembly seat.

Ticket for Amin Patel from Mumbadevi

The names of Ranjit Pratap Kamble from Deoli, Dr Nitin Kashinath Raut from Nagpur North, Amin Patel from Mumbadevi, Siddrama Mhetre from Akkalkot, Ruturaj Sanjay Patil from Kolhapur South and Rahul Pandurang Patil from Karveer have been announced.

So far, the three parties have shared 255 seats.

It may be recalled that as per the previous seat-sharing agreement in MVM, like the Shiv Sena (UBT) party and Sharad Pawar, the Congress also got 85 seats. This is how an agreement was reached between the three component parties for 255 seats. In the seat-sharing, all three parties will be fighting for 270 seats. This means that a decision on 15 seats is yet to be taken. The remaining 18 seats of 270 each will be shared among other allies. There are a total of 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra.
