Seat sharing announcement MVA, Congress, Uddhav and Sharad Pawar’s party will fight for 85 seats each.

MVA seat-sharing: A consensus has been reached on 270 seats in Mahavikas Aghadi. Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress and Sharad Pawar’s party will fight on 85 seats each. A decision on 15 seats is yet to be taken. The allies will have 18 seats.

The Mahavikas Aghadi’s seat-sharing talks have come to an end in recent days. On Wednesday (October 23), it was announced that the three parties will fight equally in the elections for 85-85 seats. There are a total of 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra. An agreement has been reached between Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar and Congress on 270 seats. The remaining 18 seats will go to other allies.

A decision on 15 seats awaited

In the formula launched for 270 seats, 85×3, i.e. 255 seats, has been announced. This means that the decision on 15 seats is yet to be taken. During a press conference, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut said that a consensus has been reached on 270 seats. Discussions on 15 seats are still ongoing between the three MVA parties.

Last meeting held before Sharad Pawar-Raut

Sanjay Raut said that our last meeting was held before Sharad Pawar. He asked us to address the media. Sanjay Raut said that we will give seats to PWP, CPM, CPI and Aam Aadmi Party.

Tomorrow, the picture will be clear on the remaining seats – Patole

State Congress president Nana Patole said that the status of the remaining seats will also be clarified on Thursday (October 24). We will fight the elections in an alliance and our majority government will come.

Who is the elder brother of MVA?

Of the 15 seats that are yet to be discussed between the Congress, Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray, how many seats each party will get will be known only in the near future. The question is also whether these 15 seats will be equally shared among the three parties or will it be decided who will be the elder brother?

Let us say that the Samajwadi Party, Aam Aadmi Party and other parties have also expressed their willingness to contest the elections in Maharashtra. The seat-sharing formula clearly shows that instead of the MVA, the three-party alliance, the All India Alliance will be the candidate in Maharashtra.
